Preparation engagement
Funder Audit Preparation
Structured readiness work ahead of a funder’s own auditors — document trails, walkthrough scripts, and known-issue briefs.
- Typical duration
- 2–4 weeks
- Delivery
- On-site preferred when paper files remain
- Fee basis
- Fixed fee by grant count and site visits
Purpose
When a funder has announced an on-site or remote audit, we help your team assemble the evidence pack, rehearse walkthroughs of key controls, and document known exceptions before the auditors arrive.
Deliverables
- Evidence index mapped to the funder’s request list
- Folder structure (physical or shared drive) ready for auditor access
- One-page briefs on any known variances already disclosed or in remediation
- Optional dry-run interview with the finance officer who will sit with the auditors
Timing
Best commissioned at least three weeks before the auditor’s start date. Shorter windows are possible for a single grant with a clean digital trail.
